RE: Packing bearings every year

You can buy new backing plates with the new brake shoes and all brake hardware installed along with new magnets for just a little more then a brake job. And you can do it yourself. Unbolt the old bolt on the new.

RE: Brake Fluid Check

I think you will also find a separate master cylinder for the tag axle, back by the tag axle. Can you follow a front brake line back to the master. And if hasn't been done I's do a fluid flush after finding both masters.

RE: Portable surge protector relocated

I've done that with my 50 Amp surge guard added benefit is if you only have 30 amp service I use a 30 Amp extension cord. Then the power is only going through 30 Amp cord to unit instead of 30 Amp extension cord to 25 ft of 50 Amp cord before it gets to the MH.

RE: Water Heater Leak???

If the leaking is on the inside of the MH you need to fix it ASAP. Mine had a leak on the inside running on kitchen floor coming from the back of the water heater. Had to replace a washer on the back of the water heater, had to go in a drawer space after pulling the drawer out and could only get my head and one arm in to do the work ( a lot of fun). Enjoy.....

partsfortechs.com/asap/gererac
flightsystems.comrv-generator-controls
What parts are you looking for, on mine the the oil filter is the same as my wifes Camry. I can get the air filter and fuel filter at NAPA etc. Hope this helps.

RE: Ford F53 brake slide parts

And if your looking for boots for the pistons it would be easier to just go to NAPA and buy new rebuilt calipers.

RE: Dirty jack fluid

Just go to harbor Freight and get a pump like they use to pump the oil out of a boat engine through the dip stick tube comes with clear hose. pump the old fluid out change the hose around and pump the new fluid in. The pump runs about $10.00.

RE: Changing F 53 transmission oil and filter

Your F53 may not have a converter drain plug I think in 2001 they did away with them, mine does not have the plug. I've dropped the pan once and changed the filter (nothing more then a screen) I installed an inline filter in the return line from the cooler ( the same inline filter required by Ford if the trans is ever rebuilt). NAPA(magnefine) 1-8514. And no longer drop the pan.
I have also done the trans flush using the disconnected return line mentioned by 427435

RE: Doran Tire Monitor

have it and use it when ever running and towing toad. I take my senders off when parked at home between trips. and take the one's off the toad at each campground if using the toad for side trips ( on my toad the sends stick out past rims and worry about wife ripping one off when parking). All that said I'm still running on the original Batt's (mine are 4 years old). I Was on the road for 165 days in 09 to give you an idea how much I use it.
There is another make I think it's TST that gives pressure and Temp. may want to look at those also. BUT I personally use mine when ever I'm running. Has saved me once with a tire on the toad.
