What would you do?

Getting Kwikee levers fixed. The shop that is workingon them has done work for me before. I trust them and think they are on the up and up.
Here is the problem. After running 3 hrs of tests, they haven't found what is wrong. They called today and asked how much I'sm willing to put into the repairs.
They have a call into Kwikee and are looking for possible solutions.
They will not continue any more work without my ok.
How much is too much? I like the idea of pulling in hitting a button and boom we are level. But there are times we don't even use them.
What do you think?

Levelers

What do you think?
I have a Journey 2006. Has been maintained. Last Oct. used the rig and levelers were fine. Last Nov. I took it out on manintance run and the levelers would not go down, all four. The panel was working lights on etc. they were making a funning sound like they wer stuck. (know it is not a good description, they were stuck). Going to have them looked at by service dept. Checked fluid it is fine. Batteries are good. Trust the service dept. but just wondering what to except. Kiwkee levels 2000 best series.
Thanks

RE: electric steps

Had trouble with mine. Wouldn't open and were only two yrs. old.
1. Check to see if you are getting power to the motor.
2. I didn't had to replace the motor, one of the easiest things I ever had to
do.

RE: winter care ???

Stated this on another post. I have had 3 class a's over the past 16 yrs.
Once a month I do the following:
1. Take a round trip of 50 miles.
2. Run gen. for 1.5 hrs.
3. Open and close slides
4. Use jacks
5. Check battery levels
When I put it away for storage:
1. Change oil no matter if needed or not.
2. Put a slow charge on house batteries.

Driving with arthritis

Never thought I would be writing this but "glory days will pass you by" I have arthritis in my hip, like everyone else with it somedays great, well you know. Just wondering what fellow RVers do for it on that 3-4 hr drive? It will need replaced down the road, but right now I can deal with it. Have been a little hesitate to plan a long drive, being to over cautious?

RE: Scammed in a rest area (long)

The same exact thing happen to me two yrs ago at the last rest stop in WV on I-70 before you cross into Ohio. With mixed results. I played and after about three mins lost money, hate to admit this but I walked back to the RV and got more, they must have watched me. I confronted the man running the con and asked for my money back, started making a "fuss" the crowd group broke up I followed the man holding my money, got it back. When I got back to the RV the screen was pushed in and about 200 was taken. (could of been worse). I recovered all the money I bet. But still felt like a dumb ass for losing the other. The WV state police were called, and they were very understanding. As a matter of fact I was called about 3 months later and asked more details because this group hit again on I 79. Everytime we drive by the rest stop my wife says "wondering if anyone is playing the shell game?" As I look stare away, biting my lip.
PS THEY ARE GOOD

Kwikee Levelers Help

Winnie 2006 Class A
Have used levelers as little as two weeks ago, no problem. Tried to lower levelers today seems to be making a funny noise on the part (don't know the name) located above the fluid resevoir. Any suggestions will be helpful.
Thanks in advance

RE: converter question

Mine is a 7400 series by dimension, it has one round 15amp fuse, near the cooling fan. The fuse is round 1/4 dia. Is the only way to get this fuse out by taking the box off the wall? OR will it twist out?
Thanks

converter question

I hate to admit this but when replacing the house batteries I put the neg on the pos post and melted the cable connector. Replaced the cabel and had batteries checked ok
Checked all the fuses etc....ok
But the convertor fuse is blown....
Did I ruin the converter? Or will replacing the fuse be good enough?
Thanks in advance..

How long is "letting it sit" bad?

I have read this statement time and time again. The reason things go bad on a MH is they are not used. They just sit too long. How long is letting it sit bad? I take my out once a month for about a 40 mile run. Take about 3-4 trips a year. Some as far as 4,000 mile round trip others 500 mile round trip. Just wondering?

RE: Talk to Workhorse about brakes

Got a call from Tech Support at workhorse, was told the recall is in early early stages, and questioned the rep that said we were on recall list. "how does she know that? " was the response. Was told that they are instructing people to enjoy MH and not to worry about brake failure. But be aware there could be a problem. They were very helpful and from my feelings very honest and upfront.

Talk to Workhorse about brakes

Just got off the phone with workhorse. This is what I was told: recall letters will be out within 30-90 days. Gave my vin number and I will be getting a recall letter. Was told that doesn't mean I have a problem. She stated that if I haven't had any problems as of today that driving the MH is safe. They have not determined what if any amount will be payed by Workhorse if work needs to be done. If you have a problem now work must be paid by the owner.

Workhorse Brakes Recall

Been away for a while and missed the orginal post on the brakes topic. Just wondering has anyone talked to workhorse? And how many out there will not drive their rig until finding something out?
Thanks for any input.
