RE: Trailer Life Directory cost

They put out this offer every year and have for as long as I can remember. I used to order one for me and one for my brother in law about every other year. Now I don't bother. I find rvparkreviews.com to be much more helpful. The reviews have much more value to me when they are reviewed by you and me and other rv'ers rather than someone who gets paid advertizing dollars. I also use the big rig rv park book and other online sources.

RE: Leather seat repair in SoCal?

It is probably made by Villa. I know they are a big supplier to Monaco. They are located in Cerritos. www.villainternational.com 13760 Midway St Cerritos, CA 90703-2331 (562) 404-8111 They give great service and they are sure to take care of you.

RE: Spartan Chasis

I have a Spartan chassis and I find it to be better than my previous Ford gasser and Freightliner. In fairness the Freightliner did not have independent suspension and the Spartan does. 330 might be a bit underpowered for a 40 footer, but depends on the weight of the coach. A gas engine revs higher and may have a lot of power but you are revving it a lot higher to keep that power up. The result is noisy and a strain on the engine. The diesel is quiet and hardly works (1600 - 2000 rpms) resulting in an effortless quiet ride up the mountain. The last thing is I have found Spartan service to be excellent. They have tech folks that help when you call in. They will get you into service when needed and they follow up a few days later to see if all has been taken care of. They also have had some campaigns (like a voluntary recall) of issues and handled them wonderfully. My first choice for a chasis would be Spartan.

RE: Best Route from Mesquite, NV to Seattle, WA.

From Mesquite, go south on I-15 and take 168 north to 93. Take 318 to 6 then hit 93 again at Ely. Go up to Twin Falls, get on I-84 and head west to I-82 north to I-90 west to Seattle. The state roads in NV are very good two lane roads. Very little traffic. We have taken this route (to and from Las Vegas) many times. This is by far the best route to take. Shortest and Quickest. There are a number of parks in Ely to stay overnight. Or wells if you want to go that far. Lots of parks to overnight along I-84. check out rvparkreviews.com for parks along the way. Enjoy your trip. We have done Seattle to Vegas stopping one night in Jackpot before. So four days is a breeze! Enjoy
