RE: Is Soggy soggy?

Sorry for the confusion. I'm 51 now and have CRS. Geeeezzzzz! No need to apologize I'm 35 and suffer from the same problem ;) JV is not closed yet but I think it might be soon if the Marines get their way. That is one of the reasons I wanted to ride there. 95% of my dirt riding is in San Felipe and/or Ocotillo. I wanted to check it out before it’s gone.

RE: Is Soggy soggy?

El Mirage is the only one I know of that actually gets closed after it rains. Couple of Soggy pics.... Nice pictures. I took the family back up there today for a few hours. Practically no one there and the dirt was perfect not an ounce of dust. We ended up finding a jeep event called King of the Hammers. We had a good time watching all the rock crawlers and jeeps climb those impossible hills. Soggy was really Soggy :) http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n14/ynotride/johnsonvalley008.jpg width=680 http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n14/ynotride/johnsonvalley044.jpg width=680

RE: Is Soggy soggy?

I thought Soggy dry lake was off limits now. especially after rain I am not familiar with the area and cannot find anything on the BLM website about the lake area being off limits. I was there last weekend and there were trailers and campsites along the lake and no signs anywhere saying it was closed. I will stay away from the lake tomorrow to be safe but I always follow the rule of "it is open unless posted closed".

RE: Is Soggy soggy?

I went last weekend and the lake was pretty full. I promised my son I would take him to the mud this weekend if it rained so it looks like we will be there tomorrow morning for a day ride. Last week was my first time there so I dont know the area very well but if anyone wants to join let me know. I'm sure Soggy is going to be pretty close to full by the end of today :) Edge of Soggy from last Sunday http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n14/ynotride/johnsonvalley030.jpg width=680 Sand Dunes http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n14/ynotride/johnsonvalley028.jpg width=680
