RE: Qusetion about Craiglist

I have sold allot of stuff on CL. The some dealers are trying to get you go put it on their lot to make a commission or want you to jack your price to be in line with what they charge. I ignore them all.
I only sell in cash, no checks or other scams. I don't list my phone, that is just spammer bait. I use the anonymous mail feature on CL, that way they can email and I can reply to legitimate offers, all others get deleted.

RE: Opinions on belt life span

My belt on my DMAX still looks almost new. At 65K not bad. Inspection is the key.

RE: MS Streets/Trips and Netbook

Thanks for all of your replies. I will wait a bit to purchase either MS S&T or a dedicated GPS unit. I have been reading some of the reviews of the Garmin 1490T, sounds good but appears to need some more software updates. Any thoughts regarding this unit?
Fossilhound
I have that model, they just updated the software last weekend. I have had no problems with this unit. Pretty slick package.

RE: MS Streets/Trips and Netbook

We use it on our net-book equivalent with no problems. I also got a Garmin Nuvi 1390T from Santa, so we are going to compare them on our next trip.

On my truck, the E will hold the rig and attached 5er on a hill, no issue for me.

RE: bumper allignment on GM

Make them pull a carfax on it and for good measure an auto check report. That will give you a little more piece of mind.

RE: GPS Purchase

I think well of my 1390T Garmin Nuvi. Just had it for a month, but it works great and tells what lane to be in.

RE: Laptop hardware problem

You didn't say how old your laptop was or what kind it was. My dell laptop 3 generations ago went out just like that and it didn't recover. It was the laptop itself that died.
Power supply cord, make sure it working.
Second possibility, your plug housing on your laptop is not making contact, perhaps a broken wire or fuse.

RE: I got Hacked

No issues, and my yahoo and other mail services sends you to my junk mail unless you are on my trusted contacts list. I peruse the senders in my junk mail and delete them without opening them.

RE: best coverage on prepaid cell phone

We have used Tracfone for since 2000, can't beat the coverage, we have used them coast to coast and north to south, never lost coverage.

RE: GPS plugged in all the time ????

Take mine out of the car, plug it in when in the car because the traffic FM receiver is in the power cord.

RE: How to find out which side wheel bearing is going bad ?

The bearings come as complete prepack hub assemblies, and each is about $ 200.
It thought about replacing both but 400 is more than 200 :)
That's true, but I would look at it like this, Murphy will make the other one go bad, usually out in the middle of nowhere in a blizzard. For my piece of mind, I would pony up the bucks and do both.

RE: XP to Win7

I am leaving XP on my laptop until I need a new laptop. I did buy a new Dell Desktop and it imported all my stuff from my laptop with ease, It went through my router, found my laptop and brought in all my files and most programs with no problem. I figure by the time it's time to replace my laptop, MS will still be supporting XP, but I wouldn't hold your breath about Vista, it was a ton of junk.

RE: DirecTV Lawsuit

I moved to WI in July, got dish, they explained in clear terms what it cost, my bill has reflected what they said. I had to ask questions and they answered them. I think most consumer sink their own boat because they don't either read or ask questions. As to the state of WA, they are just trying to close the budget gap by suing any corp they can get money out of.

A Taco might weigh that, but not a Dodge, I think he needs to read it again or get it weighed correctly.
