RE: Do you pull your pup with a large TV ?

We did. Towed it with a Dodge 3/4 van, then a Suburban 1500. Hardly knew it was there with either vehicle. Bought it used for $1500, kept it 10 years and sold it for $1200. It was a very basic unit. No frige, but did have a sink with manual water pump for the sink. We had more fun in our pop up than any of our trailers. We once slept 9 people in ours--two in each bunk end--2 children on the couch which made a bed--2 children on the table which made a bed--one small child under the table on the floor.

RE: Have you used AT&T 3G at Inks Lake SP - Texas?

A number of years ago we were there and my wife's AT&T cell phone would not get a signal, but my Tracfone worked just fine.
Inks Lake SP is one our favorite places, but not as close as when we lived in Houston. Miss it a lot.

Guess what I saw today.

Today, on I30 near Texarkana, TX I saw a large diesel class A motorhome towing a travel trailer that appeared to be in the 30 foot range. Just thought it looked odd.

RE: Driving through Little Rock, AR

Be on the lookout for road construction at I30 and US 59. It looks like a mess. We live in Texas so we don't come from that direction, but perhaps some of our Arkansas members can give you more information.

Snow on roof

Hi
Just got through brushing a foot of snow off the roof of my trailer. Used a long handled brush and have decided I'm in the market for a taller ladder.

RE: Burb w/3.42s

Our first Suburban had the 5.7L engine and 3.42 gears and we towed our trailer through the Texas hill country and had no problems. It is my understanding that the 5.3 engine is a more capable tow vehicle than the 5.7. Our trailer, loaded and ready to roll is probably around 5500 lbs. Unloaded, except for the stuff we normally keep in it, is 5200.

RE: Lock up your spare tire on TV

In Houston, the spare and battery were stolen off our trailer in our driveway.

RE: Ozark National Scenic Riverways

Don't know about this particular park, but Buffalo River is spectacular. We have stayed at Buffalo Point and always had a great time.

RE: NEWS FLASH Bears live in the woods

Brazos Bend State Park outside Houston, TX has lots of alligators. I told a woman I worked with about them and she was surprised that the gators were loose in the park and not confined somewhere.

Class B can't find post.

Caught a glimpse of a post with a sticky or link to an interesting B but can't find it now. It was what appeared to be a rather large B shown from driver's side rear. Would appreciate anyone helping me find the post.

RE: Stopover between Little Rock AR and Arlington TX

There is a KOA in Texarkana right off the interstate. Also, south of Texarkana on US 59 (about 10 miles) is Clear Springs Campground, a COE park and very nice.

RE: Electric tongue jack

Do you have any of the brochures or information pamphlets that should have been provided with your trailer? Mine is an Atwood and a replacement is not expensive. Check with your dealer.

RE: Digital Camera

Find one that you can cause the flash to fire. Sometimes the camera is not too smart and not fire the flash when needed, especially indoors when there is some ambient light or when shooting toward the light.

RE: Coleman Drip Coffee Maker

They work as advertised. Our DIL gave us one. She found them on sale at Wal-Mart in Mansfield, TX for $3.00 I believe. It was such a good buy that she bought one for themselves and they don't even drink coffee.
