Only one out of my 12 battery posts is coroding (six 6v Trojan Mile masters) the rest are fine.

Batteries are about 4 months old.

Corosion is a nice patina green on one of the + posts.

I think that the battery with the corosion may have been dropped during instulation.

Should I replace this battery asap for risk of messing up the others?

What does this mean?
Thanks in advance.

My guess is that that connection wasn't as clean and/or tight as the rest when it went together. I would take it apart, clean it and apply some battery terminal grease.
Hope this helps.

Look closely for acid leaking out around that battery post. If you find moisture there, I'd consider it a warranty replacement item.

All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

It's a natural condition in top post batteries the positive post tend to loss it's seal and the battery vents around it causing the lead of the post to corrode. The more load on the battery, the more chemical reaction, the more gas created. Seperate and clean this post twice a year, and in damp areas more frequently. GM fixed this with side mounted posts, but on heavier batteries it isn't structurally satisfactory. There is a felt washer avaible that helps to slow the prosess.

Corosion only occures in air if you clean the terminals then apply a corosion inhibiting paste (Nolux) to the terminals you should slow or eliminate the problem. You can also seal the terminals with an insulating paint suck as Glyptol.

Those treated felt washers work very well. Later! Frank

To clean the green stuff off of the battery posts you can use some Coca Cola and just dump it on and watch it all fizzle off. Then touch up with some steel wool or a wire brush and then use some battery corrosion grease or as another poster mentioned, the insulating paint suck as Glyptol.

What I've done is clean the post and cable very good. Once it is attached back to the battery I spray it with a clear polyurathane varnish, several coats (3-4). I've done this for years, on pick-ups, trucks and heavy equipment. If you get it coated good enough no acid can get to the post to eat it and therefore no corrosion.
Only time I've had to clean a post is because we've took the batteries out or on a new piece of equipment.
