Sue, Suzie, Peaches and myself are leaving in a little while to meet Dandy Dan, Lori and Anna along with Dog Diva in West Virginia. I think it will be good for us to get away for a few days. Our good neighbor Anne is going to keep Izzie company while we are gone so he doesn't have to go to a kennel.

Once again thank you for all of your kind words of comfort. Charlie will ne greatly missed as he was such a wonderful old dog and a loving soul. When I carried him to Dr. Ford's office on MOnday for the x-rays she allowed him to wander in the officeas she also liked charlie. When I came to see the result of the x-rays she and were in one of the rooms talking and Charlie heard my voice and came in and touched my hand with his nose just to let me know he was there.

He caught on to so many things in the short time he was with us, it was as if he had been in the family for a very long time, he was very smart. My home was blessed with one of God's angels for a very short time, just a reminder that angels come into our lives in many different ways.

We are here at Fort Chiswell, Virginia with Mary Lou, Dan, Lorie and all the furry gang. It is cold here to Waynesboro standards 55* and the sun is still up.

We are about to go out to eat so I will get back with you later.

Have a good time, Richard. You definitely have earned a break. Deep breaths of that cool air, I'm so jealous! It is hotter than blazes here.

Mini Old Fella Rally here at Ft. Chiswell. Richard, Sue, Suzie, Peaches, Lori and Dan and Anna, DogDiva with Henry and Elizabeth. was really nice to meet MaryLou finally. It is so nice to put a face with a forum voice. Weather could be just a touch warmer. Richard wondered if we were expecting snow tonight?

If it doesn't snow tonight it will miss a good chance. I haven't been this cold since last winter! Let's see the thermometer says it's 49* outside---That's it??? Its feels colder than that, but I guess going from the 80's to the 40's all in one day makes it feel colder than it really is. Yep, we are having a mini Old Fella Rally right here in Virginia. Looking forward to having a great few days of rest and visiting with friends, wish more of you were here.
