I just purcahsed a 26' kz sportster which came with Nankang tire all around in Nov 2004. It is now Oct 2005 and I have had three blowouts and damaged done to both sides of the trailer. I was wondering has anyone else had problems with the Nankang tires on thier trailers.

yes, just this weekend lost one (of 6) on my KZ Sportsmen. Fortunatly only lost 1 piece of stickon trim. Did you buy extended warranty? Mine will be replaced free of charge. I hear of just about every kind of factory tires with problems.

Unfortunately, there have been some problems with NanKang tires. Our friends bought their TH about a year before you bought yours. We bought ours about 6 months after they bought theirs. During the summer of '04, they had two blow-outs and a bubble in a third tire. One of the blow-outs caused some damage to their skirting directly behind the rear axle. There may have been other damage as well, I just can't recall. Last winter, we had a blow-out and a bubble in a second tire. Our skirting behind the rear axle, as well as the spare tire hoist was damaged.

If you haven't already done so, I would suggest that you notify KZ. We were each able to work with both KZ and TireCo, the US based company that distributes NanKang tires, to get the issue taken care of. It took some time, but it was taken care of to our satisfaction.

Our KZ Frontier TT came equiped with Nanking tires. Great TT, but towing with the Nankings was nerve racking! Really couldn't enjoy towing with them as I kept looking out the mirror to see if any had blown out yet. After 800 miles I replaced them with LT Toyo's.

Nankang tires are not Carlisles. It is getting harder and harder to find trailer tires that are not Chinese. Goodyear, Cooper, and maybe General make the only North American made ST tires I know of (some Goodyear plants are in Canada). Goodyear makes Greenball Towmaster tires under contract.

All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.
