I haven't tried it either, but it should work. I bake bread in mine and I have to shield the top for about half the baking time, if not it will over brown.

The Presto Pizza Pizzaz they sell at walmart is 40 dollars it cooks pizzas GREAT.....consumer reports even said so....mine is a staple in my kitchen....can take it with you in an RV as well.
Verdict = GET ONE!
