That section isn't even considered curvy or wavy in Mexico. Maybe in the States, but not in Mexico. Get off the toll roads and go inland over the mountains and you WILL find curvy/wavy roads.

Jonna! What does Sinuosa mean? I googled a translation and there was not one given for Spanish. I did see in Italian a Beautiful Experience.
Thanks,

Hi
Thanks all for you input, we are safe and sound in WH Kino Bay. Yes the last 10 miles is not for the faint of heart but the view from our 5er is well worth the hour drive in. We are already booking for next year.

It means winding or curvy. I see it all the time on road signs warning about a lot of curves in the road ahead. I've always liked the way it sounds. The road signs say something like 'Cuidado Camino Sinuoso' - I can't remember the exact wording.

Because the word sounds like 'sinuous' in English I've just always loved saying we are traveling on a 'sinuous road'. It sounds silly when I write it down. I always get amused by road signs. I haven't told you guys about the 'whack a moles' have I?

You have to be familiar with that kids game 'whack a mole' where they have a hammer and they try to hit these toy moles that pop up out of the game board randomly.

When they were putting in the big light poles along the highway on the coast here, 307, there would be a mile or so of guys digging these deep holes by hand for the poles. The holes were so deep (and the workers so short) that they would disappear then a shovel of dirt would fly out and then their head would pop up over the top of the hole. Mimi and I got just hysterical every time we drove by them because they looked so much like 'whack a moles'. Silly, miles of heads popping up and down in deep holes. I couldn't stop laughing.

If anyone is interested, I had my GPS (Trips and Streets) track our trip to Kino Bay, this might make the Hemosilla bypass a bit easier. If you would like a copy send me a PM.

Hope to survive the road and arrive in WH Kino Bay on the 12th. Have never been before. Looking forward to it. Can you get camarones there?

Any advice appreciated. We are coming from Celistino, North of Mazatlan.
