We've been fortunate enough to have experienced winters in both areas and have found great people where ever we went, the RGV is a great place to winter and filled with friendly people, we've also found the same to be true of florida, I think that for the most part, people experience what they choose too. Even tho we didn't winter in the RGV this year we also feel that a thankyou is in order for the kindness and friendlyness of the area and long over due. Negatives can be found in any area that a person chooses to look, speaking strictly for myself, I choose to look for the positives and enjoy those.

I along with "most" of the others also want to thank the locals in the RGV(of which I'm sure there are some that monitor this bbs). The locals that work in the restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, etc. couldn't have been nicer and more cordial. EVERY place has it issues, and the RGV is one of them as well. HOWEVER, IF you go around looking for negatives anywhere, you're going to find them. There are some people in the world that "live" on complaining....fortunately, I'm not one of them.
I say, PLEASE GO where you like and be happy THERE! Those of us that like it here will understand if we don't run into you at the many get togethers, and good times that we've enjoyed this winter.
Safe travels home to everyone.
Oh yea, the wind blows, get over it.
