I am in the process of researching mail forwarding services. Does anyone use Good Sam service out of Pensacola? If so, can you rate it for me? Any other suggestions in Florida? I want to maintain my Florida residency. I have done a search but did not get answers to my specific questions. Thanks folks.

Your mail service has nothing to do with your residency. We are residents of SD, but have a TX mailing address.

It doesn't hurt to have domicile and mail address in same state. UPS stores are all over the place and I have used them quite successfully.

Note that in many counties in Florida, one can claim the county courthouse as domicile residence, or at least that was so several years back, but NOT as mail address. Both domicile and mail address go into computer for DL and tags.

When you go to courthouse to register to vote, consider filing a Declaration of Domicile with the county clerk. Google "florida declaration of domicile" for more info on this.

Here's an interesting site for any one considering changing domicile to Florida

http://www.jones-foster.com/Florida%20Domicile.htm

Picking a county in the relative boondocks may make your auto insurance a lot less than someplace like Miami outskirts!! Be sure your health insurance will be OK in chosen zip code because that is what some go by.

We use America Home Base in Pensacola for our mail, the same company that Good Sam uses. We've been with them since 2000 and have been very pleased. We pay an annual fee around $180 and then pay postage monthly. We gave them our credit card number, and they charge everything automatically. Google "American Home Base" to find their web page.

Thanks for the replies folks. After doing some research, we have decided to go with RVMCA out of Green Cove Springs, FL. They seem be what we are looking for.

Thanks again,
Bob

I just started with GS. First transfer was a little shaky, but since then no problems. Just pick any post office, preferably a small town, easy to find, furnish GS with that info and in a couple days, walla.

That's great, but the OP asked about mail services in Florida. The FMCA mail service is in Ohio.

We have used the Escapee mail service for 8 years and are very happy with it. Never had a problem with delivery. It works for us. You do need to be members so if you don't use any other of their services the annual membership $70.00 the first year and $60.00 there after may not be cost effective for you.

How about the EarthClass Mail Service, where they scan the envelopes, and will open and scan the contents if you wish. Then, you only get the paper pieces when you actually need a hard copy?
