I am always weary when sharing a new spot to camp, because one of the criteria I use to judge a new get away is 1)availability during booking 2)Crowdedness (if that is a word) of the spot said differently, how many rv'ers they shoe-horned into the area. Letting everybody know of my new vacation spot is surely going to decrease my chances of getting in next time...

Potters Creek Park, at Canyon Lake Texas is a spot I just cant keep to myself. This park had tent camping, trailer camping with water and electricity hook ups. But the best thing was that the trailers and campers were not stacked on top of each other. 50-75 feet between me and my neighbors left plenty of elbow room, and with water 100 feet away (and I was one of the furthest from the water) and all the amenities of home, this is a place the family and I will visit again.

The nice thing was that they could easily quadruple the number of RV slots and still have room.

If you get a chance, give the place a visit.

We stay at Potter's Creek every time we come through that area. It's one of our favorite places to spend Thanksgiving.

I'm sure you saw a few deer.....

Thanks! We just had a speaker at our couples bass club meeting from Texas Parks and Wildlife. He gave us a map that showed some fish locators that TPWD recently placed in Canyon Lake. If anyone would like a copy please send a PM.
We have actually never fished there. Hope to soon.
