I have a 2008 Jayco 22FB and it only has one vent in the bathroom. Is there a benefit using it while the camper is not being used to help keep the air circulated? Will just one vent do anything with the rest of the camper closed up. The reason I'm asking is I'm thinking about getting a MaxxAir so I can leave it open but wonder if any benefit is there.

The hidden benefit of any type of air vent cover is that it prevents the UV rays from destroying the plastic in the original vent. Improvement in circulation is really secondary in my opinion.

I'd think you'll get better circulation with your bathroom vent & Maxxair cover if you can allow some air to enter the camper as well as leave it. If you have an awning window somewhere in your camper, most do, I'd leave it open a crack, just enough for a little air to get in but not enough to let rain in, maybe just 1/4" or so.

I think there is. We have left our bathroom vent open 24/7/365 since the MaxxAir was installed, and it does seem to have prevented the air inside from getting stale when the camper was closed up & not in use. During the winter, since we cover the camper, we left the vent open and also cracked open one small window. As a result, there hasn't been any condensation buildup at all inside the trailer. Love it!

go for it. the Maxaire fan/hood is about 1000x better than the little whir and buzz fan in most RV baths. and the Maxaire moves the fan noise out and down, no rain sensor etc. needed.

I'd say it helps alot. Even a little air movement is better than none. I leave my vent open 24/7/365 with the front window, under the closed rock guard, open a tad all winter. The flow of air keeps the TT smelling fresh and dry as a bone.

What about in the winter when it snows? 5 inches of snow and it's covered? Snow melting, does it leak in?

I just installed these on my TT and I don't think you would have any trouble with that. The rim on the existing roof vent is still a few inches higher than the roof. Then the max-air vent is over that. o theoretically no snow would get inside the vent cover, and even if a little were to blow up the louvers and land inside, the little bit of melt water would not be deep enough to run overtop the lip of the roof vent.

We had a MaxAir on our old trailer for the last 4 years. The vent was never closed. First two years of that were in the Northwest. Had no leakage, and the TT never had a closed up smell. Our new TT has two MaxAir's, one in the bathroom and a dark one in the bedroom. The dark one really cuts the light in the morning.
