I knew when we purchased our jayco class "c" motorhome in 2003 we were doing the right thing. All the little and big concerns and problems we had with our unit were always fixed and in speedy time. Little did we know that the seal at the roof to sidewall in many places was seaping water into the motorhome. At first we thought it was a leaking window and that was eventually replaced by jayco, past warentee, but they did it for free. But the leak showed up again. For 5 years it must have been weaping in and it has finally showed itself in the ceilings and side wall delamination. I thought that I was stuck with a unit that I would not be able to use or sell being so far past warrentee. On a whim, I videoed the problem and wrote a letter to jayco explaning my problem and telling them what I thought was happening. Jayco replyed and asked me to take it to my dealer and they would tell them what they wanted them to do. I took it to them and received a call in a couple of days from my dealer. Jayco asked them to inspect all caukable seams and finding no problem they had them open up the roof area and take pictures of any damage or evidence of leaking, which was extensive and send it to them. I was then called and told to pick up the motorhome and use it for the summer and that my dealer had sealed up all around the roof to sidewall area with a temperary cauk and tape job. Doesn't look very good but at least will not leak. Now for the really surprising thing,JAYCO IS TAKING THE UNIT BACK TO THE FACTORY IN THE FALL TO REMOVE THE COMPLETE TOP OF THE MOTORHOME AND ANY SIDEWALL WITH DELAMINATION AND REPLACE WITH NEW. THE COST TO ME IS NOTHING. How many companies would do this for a customer, not many i'm sure. Bottom line is if your considering a RV check out Jayco. Had some sleepless nights until Jayco gave me this news. Still no money out of my pocket. Thanks for reading Denny

Considering the current industry economic woes, taking responsibility and agreeing to correct the problem is probably the very best and least expensive advertising Jayco could procure.

I'm having issues with jayco now. My 06 TT is at the dealer now with a rotten floor(water from somewhere). It's been there for well over two months now waiting on backordered parts. Well the parts arrived last Friday and now the dealer realizes they are not equipped to handle the repair, so they sent the parts back. I hit the dealer up for a loaner but he said no way. I've contacted jayco's ceo office and waiting on a reply from them. The dealer told me he would "patch" the problem so I can camp for the summer, but the warranty expires in June. Did jayco provide you with a loaner while they were reparing yours, and do you have any suggestions?
thanks, jamie

To jhinson748 No my repairs will be made in the fall and i will not have a loaner to use but i did not ask for one. We will have just got back from a planned trip to Maine this fall and then the motorhome will be sent off to the factory for repairs. They plan on 4 weeks to do the job. Then they bring it back to me and i reload everything and get ready to go to florida for the winter. My suggestion is to be patient with them and work with the factory they will do the right thing. If you have problems e mail me ok ddoranjr@twcny.rr.com
