Holy Cow!! Some of you guys are rude... if they are alone.. they are probably lonesome... put yourself in their shoes. Talk awhile.. and then lie if you need to! But don't hurt their feelings... they have had that done many times already, I am sure.

Ever have the unwanted camper who is always at your site talking bout nothing all the time. How do you nicely say...get lost. I have tried things like..got to get ready for supper or need to do this..but no go...Hate to make someone not like me but sometimes too much company is overbearing.

Better yet get a can of bright red spray paint and paint the tip half of your longest and ugliest butcher knife. When he comes over walk around muttering to yourself "I told them to leave me alone but did they listen? Nooooooooooo!!!!! Tooooo bad now."

I'm ok with the occasional casual conversation even when I want to be left alone.

For that random fruitcake that is overbearing and won't back down, I found that the ignition key is 100% effective in making them go away every single time without fail.

My standard line:

"Excuse me 'Pal'...but they haven't made an instrument large enough to measure the level of my indifference toward what you have to say..."...(ahem).

best way is to get your wife involved in conversation you sit back and get drunk and go to bed. end of story till next morning. then do it all over again. by the end of camping you won't have a clue what was said and you won't feel bad. at least not until wife *****es at you that you left her all alone with these mouth pieces. then apologize and move on.
