I want to thank everyone who replied. I made a complete turnaround and just ordered a Weber Q. I've seen tons of positive comments about it and that is what I was always going to do until I had the thought of the electric grill. I'm just not sure if electric is for me.

I have two electric grills.. (one george forman) while I like them, and use them, they do not seem to get as hot as a gas or charcoal grill.
Still, BBQ is about slow cooking, so perhaps that's a good thing.

My mother-in-law had an electric grill (yes, she liked me and I liked her ).
It worked good. Took a bit longer cause it would not get as hot. No flames at all (she lived in an older trailer park). Good thermostat.
I've used propane grills for almost 20 years now. All types, including the little portable Coleman that we have and use when we're out with the RV.
I can see that if full hookups the electric would save on propane cost. I use an electric space heater frequently because of that.
