Just a heads up that I received a new Weber Q 100 today and it will accept the slim propane tank and now it also will accept the fat ones. It no longer has the wire support and the instructions list being able to use both style tanks.

Thanks for the update !! One philips screwdriver, two screws and I was able to get the support off and use the fat tanks. I also bought the hose to use my 20# tank.

I "updated" our Q 100 when we bought it. No problem.

I just use a hose and a 5lb refillable tank. Much cheaper than the small disposable ones and no waste.
