We've been busy this week-end and last making modifications to our three week old Jayco 218 and thought we'd share some pictures.

Enjoy...

Hi, I have the same trailer. Love it. Love your mods-especially the doors to make access to storage easier. One simple thing that I've done was use a 3 hook over-the door hook to hang facing out over the bathroom--handy for jackets or dog leashes or whatever.

I have a question. In fact, Jayco is going to call me. I bought a 12 volt Endless Breeze fan to run in my truck if I have to leave my dogs for a few minutes in warm weather. I thought it would be great to use in the camper, as well, when I have no hook-ups, but it doesn't work in the 12 volt receptacle. I notice that it says for 12 volt TV only, but I would think it doesn't mean *only* TV--will find out, soon, however.

Love your pics. Thanks for posting them.

Awesome job on the doors. Where did you get the doors from?

I had the same problem with running a fan in our bedroom using the t.v. plug in. What I did was buy a 12 volt extension cord - it fits the receptacle and runs the fan very well. I do keep the extension cord bundled so it doesn't fall all over the place. I got the extension cord at Walmart.

Okie in Wyoming! Thank you so much I can't believe there's such a simple solution! I would never have thought that there was such a thing! I'll think of you on a hot day when the fan is cooling us off!

Happy travels!

The doors came from Jayco through our local dealer (along with hinges and knobs). We walked through 3 different JayFeather models and picked the size doors we wanted and had the dealer order them.

A 12v cell phone charger did not fit in the TV power port. Is the 12v plug for a TV different than other 12v appliances?

Where did you get the clear acrylic Kleenex holder? That is so cool! I've never seen one but would love to get one for our bathroom.

Thought you might want to know the result of the call from Jayco. The fella said not to be afraid to force the plug into the receptacle and to turn it. Sometimes something like a fan has only two thingies instead of four or so. I went out, did as he said, and voila, it worked! I told him about your suggestion and he said that would work, too, but the Jayco receptacle is tight. While I'm reporting that all is well, I would recommend the Endless Breeze fan in a NY minute. It really pushes the air (can't think of when I'd need to set it on 3) and only draws 2.8 amps and will come in handy for my pups in the truck and when camping without hookups. I have no affiliation with the makers of this fan--just thought to pass it along to those of you who have dogs or boondock.
