When I got on top of the TT this morning to wash the roof, I noticed that a small section of roofing had started to pull out from underneath the strip that holds the front of the roof down. By the looks of it, it was only the pressure on that strip holding the roof material down. The screws in the strip do not appear to penetrate the roof material. The roofing material only goes about 1/4" under the strip.
Anyway. I removed the sealant from around the strip, removed the screws, pried up the strip, and pushed the roofing material back under the strip. I screwed everything back down and added 2 more screws for good measure. Then applied a good layer of Dicor around everything. I plan on getting some Eternabond tape and covering that whole seam. Hopefully, that will keep the roofing from pulling out again. The roof feels okay as far as I can tell.
Fortunately, I store the TT with the front higher than the back. Otherwise, I would probably have a real mess on my hands. This is making me seriously consider getting a cover for the TT for the winter.

I have mine in right now for repair. I thought I had staples coming loose from the plywood roof.
The dealer pulled back the rubber about 10' and found it was just splinter material. The rubber is glued down so I would think that if you retightened it along the side with the trim and recalked you should have no trouble. good luck.

That stinks... only a couple of years old too.
We bought a cover for our new trailer for winter storage but haven't used it yet. I've read they are a pain to put on and take off etc. I think at the end o this season we'll give it a try. It's tough to keep an eye on it when you leave the thing for 6 months or so.

They are not to bad to put on or take off just a little heavy getting them to the roof. Also don't put them on in the wind they become a parasail if the wind gets too strong.
