I watched the old movie the other day and was looking at the scenery , some of it was quite pretty. Does any one know where the routes were that this movie was shot on? Be interesting for a trip to retrace it and see how much it has changed

ozman thanks I wonder if my big rig could get on some of those sections of 66. we tried it when we took the harley across that part of the country and had to turnaround and get back on I-40 roads were too bad then (1987) even of the bike. Also we go across 40 about once evey 6 months and don't recall seeing some of those formations llook almost like Monument Valley where a lot of movies are shot
