truck without camper gets 17 to 18 mpg ,pulling camper about 14 to 15mpg.
You lose 2 mpg pulling a 33 ft TT? That's great! you're doing better than a diesel.
I can't speak for the Tundra, but I do have experience with a Trailmanor. My 2006 F150, 5.4L engine, 3.73 gears gets 19 to 20 mpg on mountainous interstate (I-81 in VA.), and averages 17-18 mpg combination driving from the home base. In towing my 2720, I got 15.0 mpg on mountainous interstate from Harrisonburg, VA. to the New York state border last year on a trip to Connecticut (AC on, 3 people, a dog, and the bed of the truck loaded down for 6 nites of boondocking), and also recently on a 2 and 4 lane trip to PA. with combination driving (~80% hwy, 20% city). Add steep back road mountains, or a bunch of city driving and that mileage can dip down in the lower 14s. I

I misquoted on my mileage for the above mentioned CT. trip. I checked my gas records, and it was actually 15.3 mpg vs. the 15.0 that I stated. And that is calculated from the actual figures, as I don't have a trip computer in my truck.
Sorry for the misinformation.

Chap, with that kind of performance your 5.4 F150 will be ranked among the most efficient gasoline pickups in the world.

Just completed a 2500 mile round trip up to Gettysburg, then back to Richmond, VA before returning to lower Alabama... kept my speed between 62-65 and averaged 12.39 mpg (hand calculated - computer showed 12.5). 5er weighed in at around 10,500 (pin and axle) loaded for 3 weeks on the road.

My little Xterra gets 20 or so cruzin on the highway.
But the MPG takes a nose dive when I hitch up.
Trailer in the sig was purchased cuz it was "Light" 3500 Lbs
I see 10.5 MPG at best, at camping load of 4200 Lbs and that's out of OD and under 60 MPH.
Keep in mind thats calculated with the bigger Imperal gallon.

That sounds correct for an F150 5.4 with 2wd. I get the same not towing. I haven't checked the mileage with new trailer.
