Can someone tell me if the E-Z Hose Carrier is bigger in diameter than 4" plastic sewer pipe? I bought the RhinoFLEX hose and the end won't fit into regular 4" pipe. I want to make sure it will fit into the E-Z Hose Carrier before I order it.

Thanks!!

There was a post a while ago on Camping Worlds product review section where the guy had to shave some of the tab off in order to fit the Rhino fittings into the Valterra hose carrier. I would think this would weaken the fitting!

OK - but no RhinoFLEX without modification. - April 19, 2008

I need to shave a 1/4 or so off the ears of my RhinoFlex hose to get it in here. Is that easier than building one from scratch? I'd say yes. One of my end caps locks in very positively, the other one - not so much. Even at the listed price, I think I'm still ahead - but not by much. Who is going to finally make a holder that retains the adapter as well?

I bought an EZ Hose Carrier. Tie strapped it on top of my TT bumper. The feet on the Carrier were too wide so I just electrical strapped on to the bumper. That worked but the fitting on the Rhino Hose does not quite fit into the tube. I can only fit the Rhino hose extension in. A quarter of an inch larger tube would have made it.

Consider this.. If the male end of the Rinoflex will fit in the 4" pipe, then use a length of four inch, an Reducer coupling (or in this case perhaps it should be called an "Expander") and a short length of six inch, put a screw on cap on the end of that and you have... The pefect holder

The larger female end resides in the six inch section

You may wish to "Shim" the six inch seciton a bit to reduce stress on the hose

The "ID" of a 4" coupling should be the same as the OD of the 4". That should give you at least close to an additional 1/2"
