Whatever I want to do, If I feel like surfin the net, I do. If I feel like sitting by the the campfire, I do. If I want to watch TV, I do. I never care how you like to camp, do what you like, if its not my thing I will certainly not try to tell you your way is wrong. Rule #1...have fun. Rule #2, quit worrying what other people do.

We're with you, whatever we want and like to do.

We walk the pups, we drive around in our golf cart to sww what people are doing and to visit with prople as we go around the CG, sit out and read, walk the dogs and talk, watch TV or dvd's, sit inside and read, play games on the computer, check emails our look up info we are curious about (Like: What is the floorplan of that new Cherokee that came in? What was that flower or was it a weed? What kind of bird was that?), go sightsee in the area or go out to eat at different eateries, go walk the pups again...basically just whatever scratches our itch. Today it was visiting 2 museums in Anniston, AL and walking our butts off then eating in a restaurant we had driven by dozens of times...the meal was super!

Nothing and everything is jusr right for us.

Lately I've been taking my laptop. I am putting together a Christmas Light display that is synchronized to music. When I am at home, I am consumed by work and have very little time to work on the light display. When I go camping, work isn't an option because we are out of cell/internet range so I can focus on the light show. I usually only work on it at night after the wife and kids are in bed. I operate on 4 - 5 hours of sleep so I tend to go to bed much later than them, giving me this perfect opportunity to focus and synchronize.

I have a TV, DVD player, and satellite dish in the trailer but they haven't been used yet. I will use the satellite later this month to watch the University of Utah take on Michigan while camping. Other than that, I doubt it will get used very often.

We always have music playing. Our TT has speakers inside and out (this was a requirement we looked for when purchasing) and we are a family that LOVES music. We turn on the Sirius Satellite Radio and listen away. It's on while we eat/prepare meals, play games, or sit under the awning with a cold beverage and talk.

We used to wander off, me especially, and walk in the moonlight. I like the solitary (not so much Solitare). Computers by profession, camper by design.

Now, with kids, the two of us hang out talking, reading, stoking the fire, staring at each other wondering why we ever had kids, check in on the kids to see how the darlings are sleeping, fight off the racoons, prepare for the next day...but I ramble.

We have a number of obscure board games and dominoes we take with us. My last job of the night is to spread the coals so DW can stare at them, whilst I warm up the sheets.

Wondering what do some of you do at night
to pass the time?

-Grill up lots of meat
-Stand around the campfire, drink lots of beer, tell tall tales
-Go ATV riding
-Coyote or jackrabbit hunting
-Fix stuff, or drink beer while watching my buddies fix their stuff (between all the trucks, atv's, dirt bikes, trailers, generators, guns, etc. there's always something that needs fixing)
-Go to bed

Things I don't do are watch TV, play video games, or use my laptop. I go camp to get away from all that stuff.

Get some grandkids! You won't be worried about what to do, believe me. And, if there is any TV, you will be watching sponge bob square pants, trust me on this also.
However, don't get the wrong idea. I love doing all the above and more with those little fellas.

I think there is a LOT to be said for using the "old" deck of cards to play games.

I know my wife and I like to TALK, listen to the radio, and ..... the #1 thing married couples do at night ...........

Just kidding about the Wal-Mart part... They would generally frown on the campfire.
That's funny!
