We are looking for a campgrounds in central indiana where we can back up to a lake, so we can take the kids fishing for a couple days right at our campsite.
Thanks!

Not too many that I'm aware of in Central IN. Paynetown @ Monroe Reservoir has some sites that have water access especially now that the water level is high. Indian Lake State Park over around Bellefontaine & Lima, OH would be another. Mineral Springs Resort over in New Paris, OH has a small lake (it used to be a gravel pit) but none of the sites are on the water. Mounds Recreation Area on Brookville Lake has a fishing pier that you can drive to from the campground, I wouldn't try to walk to it from the campground with small kids.

Well... since you asked. Here is a hidden gem. You can actually fish about twenty fee from your camper on the lake side sites. These normally have been non-electric sites, but they added electric this year.

This place is about 110 miles from you.

I know Deams lake you can get a site at the water and fish from your site and it does have a nice beach. The down side is the fishing isn't very good. You might catch a few blue gills during the day and at night I know some people clam to catch catfish. So if you just want to fish this would be a good spot. If want to catch fish I would try somewhere else.
