Does anyone like to put up Decorative lights or Decor around your campsite? Or just anyjoy walking around the campsites looking at others decor? We like to put up colorful lights and also enjoy seeing others around us to the same. We especially like camping around the 4th of July and seeing the red, whites and blues. We haven't camped yet around Halloween but have heard of people deck out their campsites with Halloween Decor. We plan on doing that this year. Does anyone out there enjoy the decor when camping like we do?

We usually have Tiki Torches where permitted/safe. Also have the globe lights if its going to be a large group (only during the gathering-we kill it if its to sit around the fire as it gets too bright).

The nicest I have seen is rope lighting around the perimeter of the rig but on the ground. Looks real nice.

We are guilty of putting up lights and such. We also have a few LED solar garden/walkway lights that we stake in the ground. Makes for nice ambiance and gives light for walking after dark plus it's a great way to meet new friends. They are very dim so they wont disturb others.

We also are guilty of putting up our globe lights. Ours are low wattage and don't put out a lot of light. They put out a gentle glow after dark that we like!

We have several strands of red, white, and blue rope lights. When camped at our usual State Park and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers parks, I hang the lights on the shed roofs over the tables. I do not hang lights on the awning anymore. We experienced some awning frame damage one time during a sudden violent storm (which Central Texas is famous for), because I had to remove the lights before I could roll the awning up. Rolling up the awning with the lights still attached can cause the light hooks to poke holes in the awning fabric.

I also have a neat little box called a "Flashcube", purchased from an RV parts vendor on the Internet, into which I can plug my trailer connector, and turn on either the trailer running lights, or run the flashers in an emergency situation, without the tow vehicle being hooked up to it. This gives us enough light to see around the trailer, without being so bright that they are objectionable. We usually turn these off before going to bed, but leave the rope lights on all night. I always ask the people in the neighboring campsites, however, if the lights will bother them. Neither my wife nor I have any trouble with light keeping us from sleeping, but I am aware that some people do.

"Always enjoy a tactfully decorated campsite. "
Me too.
I prefer putting out pink flamingos myself.
I also have a large banner that I can hang out that makes it look like my RV has a front porch with refrigerator on it, broken and open door, along with an old car on it's roof.

Yes we do and I enjoy seeing other camp sites with lights.

We just returned from our local COE park and at night is was so pretty seeing the lights reflect in the water across from us.
