My 5er has two gray water tanks, one for the bathroom, and the other for the kitchen. The bathroom one fills up much sooner than the kitchen and I was wondering if there was a way that I could transfer some of the gray water from one tank to the other to give me a little more breathing room. Thanks for your ideas!

do both tanks tie together at the same spot, or do you have two seperate locations to connect dump hoses??

Both gray and the black tank all tie into the same pipe for dumping.

You must be the cleanest smeling guy in the camground.
I got the same deal. I swear that holding tank is not as big as advertised, especially after the wife takes a shower.

Keep the cap on - open the bathroom grey valve, then open the kitchen grey valve, if the tanks are level they will equalize, if the bathroom is higher (which is possable) monitor it closely as you do it.
Then close both valves, put a bucket under the discharge to catch the little bit that will come out, and take the cap off.
While I know from past experiance this will generate alot of comments, we have also done this between the grey and black when boondocking (with no problems)

It is funny that you say that because my wife gets mad when I take a shower because I am using up her water!
This past weekend I took a shower outside (with shorts on of course) because we had water but no sewer, but it is definitely not the same.

Interesting...sounds kind of scary though. I think they may be at the same height though because you can see the pipes go though the basement to somewhere below it.

How many gallons spill into the bucket? Do you then just dump the bucket into what ever is the lowest tank?
Thanks

You can purchase a valve at C.W that goes on the end of your discharge pipe. Install the valve, open both handles and both tanks will fill.
