My goal when we bought the new truck and camper was 1400 nights....
it was just a target. We are almost half way there.
The T & C have already more than paid for themselves in making our retirement dreams come true.... if we never got in another day.
Skip, The only trouble that I've had in a national park is a vaporlock in our refridgerator coils in Yosemite's Maraposias Sequioa Tree area from not being level. Cooked everything, shut off the power and propane to the fridge, drove around for two days... been ok ever since.

Senior moment... and corrected. I typed 9 instead of 6 and didn't catch it for a few days.
Tonight will be the 700th. Still a lot.
The first 691 came quickly. the last 8 days have taken 8 months. it has been very smooth transitioning back into the boondocking.
We are at the St Albans Roadside City Park at this moment. We came for the dumpstation and water.
There is a 5th wheel house trailer from Knoxvile with the name H Dent on it parked in the free campground (with 20 amp electricity). We noticed the UT emblem on it.
We are still resting from the reunion and entertaining friends. It is a good time to be out.
Diesel lowest $4.699 to $4.899 per gallon in this area.

We finally got to 700 nights out in this camper.... I can now relax until we get close to 800.... then I'll probably do this again.
If you haven't retired yet...
you have 52 fridays a year
52 saturdays a year
vacations
sicktime
----------------------
104 plus days a year.

Congratulations on your milestone. What's your point, Sleepy?
Take every opportunity to camp? Or we will never make that kind of numbers without being retired? Or both?

Congratulations on getting out without the cardiologist noticing. Keep up the good work and enjoy yourself. Your numbers do add up for a worker bee like many of us, unless you get sick or have other obligations. Our best year was around 65 nights while working full-time....but we do more than just camp. Like occasional home maintenance for example.
Every other weekend in summer (half the year) = 26 nights.
One weekend a month in the winter = 12 nights.
2 full weeks of vacation (+ the extra weekend) = 18 nights.
one week of vacation used on extending weekends = 5 nights.
That's 61 and about all I think we can manage until we can work full-time while on the road.....which is our longer term goal.
Good luck, and keep treating each day like it is your last...we all should do the same. Let me know if you make it to Colorado this time around.

Just think... 10 years at your pace is 610 nights. A very possible goal.
The point is... do it everytime you have a chance...
We also have home maintance issues... and work them in.
We hope to be in Golden next year. We'll phone well in advance.
