Just wondering if the price of gas is keeping everyone home this coming Fourth of July. All aerial fireworks have been canceled in Northern California because of the fires..1,088 fires burning as of today!

We are going out the following weekend hoping for fewer to be traveling. We seldom venture out on a holiday weekend. In our area (KY Lake/Land Between The Lakes can get crazy with people with a holiday buzz.

Our plans will take us up to Bowl Green for caves and dinosaurs, Cincinnati (New Port, KY) for fish and then over to Santa Claus, IN for Holiday World for fun and top it off with a John Audubon Museum visit in Henderson, KY (about 45 minutes from Holiday World).

I need to stay local because of work, not much out here these days ,so when its here I am not traveling.Gas issue also.
We leave tomorrow night for 2 weeks at a state park on the beach.Total miles for me roundtrip , 4 miles. I feel fortunate that I got in because they book early in season and that its so close to home. Have a safe and happy fourth.

We are traveling up to Traverse City for the Nat'l Cherry Festival but not with the Moho. Staying at the sister-in-laws as we normally do for this week of the year. We are Ambassadors at the event and help out. Our trip-trip begins the first of September every year for the past seven years as we normally travel out West for three weeks. This year though may be a little different as we may go East. No plans for that direction are final yet. Happy Motoring!

We have reduced our 65 gallon trips to 40 to 50 gallon trips so we are going to Marietta Ohio to see my folks and play old time country music. (I play upright bass) We will keep going until I feel enough is enough then it will get parked somewhere for good.

We are going to a new (to us ) campground only 60 miles from home so that should be about 20 gal of gas total and yes the gas price did make a difference in where we went

We are heading to our usual, Myrtle Beach, but instead of Pirateland like we normally stay, we are staying at the state park to offset some of the gas cost. Our stay at the state park is half the price we usually spend at Pirateland. Oh, and we normally go for anywhere from 10-14 days, but are only going for five.

Our teenagers are sure going to miss Pirateland though!!
