You can start by looking here.

If it's listed in the Yellow Pages, the government shouldn't be messing around with it.

If you are up near the Stowe area, try Gold Brook Campground. Nothing fancy, but plenty of room for big rigs and plenty of wide open spaces for the kids. Kind of an old style playground and no pool, but you are near Ben & Jerrys and all the hiking and biking you can handle in the Stowe area.

We've stayed at Gold Brook in Stowe as well--would go back again if we headed up that way. It is very open, I think the best sites are the ones that back up to the brook IMO.
It's a good place to have as a base for activities.

P.S. Sorry...Not sure if Gold Brook has full hookups or not...we had our pop up at the time and weren't really using the hookups much... you'd have to call them to see.

Apple Island RV Resort in So. Hero (Lake Champlain Islands) is across the road from the lake and a marina, has a very nice pool, is close to Sand Bar State Park and not far north of Burlington. We too have a 40' Class A and we enjoy it there very much. We always bring our kayaks. Also, right up the road is a nice restaurant, the Blue Paddle Bistro.
