Last trip out we had a leak in our Roo. We had a huge hail storm here a while back and I think that is what did it. On my roof it looks like they just poured sealant all around the seams. Should I remove all this and start over. The leaking spot is only an inch or two long and is around the fantastic fan vent in the bathroom. I think the reason I didn't notice it before was that when I park at home I always tilt the trailer back for better rain runoff. While camping it was level and we had one of those gully-washer rains and it couldn't run off fast enough.
I notice that a lot of you recommend Eternabond tape for repairs what is a good source for this stuff and do I just clean the area and apply? Thanks for any help. Bob

bob, eternabond is great. it's expensive but worth it. If you go to the eternabond website, they have videos showing application. I'd recommend buying the application kit as well. I've bought it at camping world before, not sure who else carries it.

For this type of leak I think a a few onces from a tube of self-leveling cauck will be as good or better. Eternabond works very well on long seams.

I bought some of the self leveling caulk already but most of the post I saw kept mentioning the eternabond. I will take a closer look at all my seams and may go ahead and reseal them. This was the first leak I have had but my trailer is getting old enough now that I really need to check them out. Thanks for the replies. Bob

Etrenabond is great stuff. I use it for longer seams, such as along the end caps. For just around a vent, I would use Dicor sealant. I found the best price for Eternabond, including shipping, was from www.bigrocksupply.com. They are located in IL.
