We will be driving from the Flagstaff, AZ area to Cedar City, UT and are looking for a route that doesn't go through Las Vegas, Zion NP, or over UT 14. Any suggestions?

Go up north first, and if you don't like the route, come back the other way.
2005 Chev 5.3 Supercharged 395HP 425 T hp. Two wheels on front, 2 on back. one seat, tint windows. front and rear bumpers, headlights, windows. Door on each side. Heater, floor mats, junk behind seats, some dirt. Pulls so hard.
Easy. Take 89 north, then rather than going up to Page, take 89A around the north rim of CG, then take a left in Fredonia, drop into Hurricane, p/u 9 to I-15, then north to CC. Check a map. Do it all the time when I go to AZ for golf in the winter. Only climbing and curving is around the north rim (Jacob Lake) and it's not that long or that bad. Unless you're talking about WINTER.
Take Highway 89 through Page, AZ to Kanab, UT, and take 89 S. to Fredonia and then west on 389 to Colorado City, Hurricane and I-15. Then north to Cedar City. There is also a shortcut (Alt. 89) that you can take, but I've never taken it...maybe someone else can comment on it. EDIT: Summut2002 just did!
Other way is to take 89 through Page, across the Dam, and continue on up past Kanab and Panguitch to HWY 20 and over to I-15. Head south to Cedar City. It's quite a bit out of the way (75 miles?!?), but a very scenic drive. The climb over the mountain on 20 is a little steep, but not bad. I've taken this route, but to points north.
