A recent thread concerning reservation fees reminded me that I intended to ask everyone what their state charges for camping in state parks. Here in Illinois the cost used to be $15 per night. This season, they've raised the cost to $20 per night and $30 per night on Holiday weekends. We don't have to worry about full campgrounds anymore! The CG where we stayed over Independence Day was only half full. Personally, I think the state has slit their own throats on this one. It's hard to charge campers that don't camp. We like our State campgrounds so we'll keep paying. What are other states charging?

don't know about 1/2... but I don't think the SP were full here either... but I didn't go past on Saturday to see if more were in there since I passed on Friday... it as early on Friday when I passed it... I don't know how much site fees have to do with it...

Full Hookup $ 22.00 (most parks)
I have no information on any campgrounds with NO hook up,
Colorado does offer a 50% reduction Sunday though Thursday for those of us 65 or older and those on disability. I believe there is a discount to active military also.
On edit I think the age is 64.. See old age does make you forget !

Electric = $25 weekends / $28 Holidays
Full Hookup = $34 weekends / $38 Holidays
I find myself spending more time on Federal properties now. I still camp in Indiana SP's but not as often. The additional fee for holidays really bothers me. I have been paying taxes in Indiana forever and to pay extra just because its a holiday seems wrong to me.

Our state park fees vary depending on the park. We were surprised to see fewer campers this fourth also. May be the price of gas.

$10 per night no hookups. At the parks that offer electric only, it's $14 per night. I don't know if any have full hookups cause we don't usually need them. Some have a dump station and most have water available.

NY has to make everything complicated, it's kind of like an a'la carte scheme: NY SP Camping Fees
To summarize, the nightly rates vary from $10 to $48 per night, with a majority being $13. But that's just the beginning. They add on fees for every amenity at the site.
Does it have a concrete pad? That's another dollar. Is it a weekend or holiday? That's another $3. Electric costs an extra $6, unless it's 50 amp which is $8. Full hookups cost an extra $12 over and above the electric fee. Waterfront sites cost more. And all of these fees are per day.
So, while the basic rate might be $13, if it's a holiday weekend, and it's an oceanfront site with 50 amp full hookups and a parking pad, it could end up costing you $47 a day. 
My recent three night stay for a waterfront 30 amp electric site at Four Mile Creek SP with no water or sewer cost me $90:
- $81 for usage fees ($27 a day)
- $9 ReserveAmerica reservation fee

No hookups at any state park..fee is $20 per night. I certainly would love to have the option of hookups or not, but that would give NJ another reason to raise our already high taxes! Nevertheless, I love the parks.
