Good Luck on the new assignment.
With the current economy any work is good work, hang in there.

Have you decided on a CG? Tallahassee RV Park on Hwy 90 near I-10 is a nice park. Numerous legislators stay there in their RVs when in session. Can't remember cuz I use an air card. But, I think they have free WiFi if you have a cheap laptop. Check their monthly rates. Might fit your budget.

Tallahassee RV Park

That's exactly the CG my manager suggested. The associate I'm replacing is there now and says it's nice. I checked out their website and it looks good, so I'll investigate it when I arrive. The store has a few spots with water and electric, so I'll do that for the first few days and then move to a park.

Thanks to everyone for all the well-wishes. I've always had a sense of wonderlust, so Reeni and I are both looking at this as another adventure and a chance to test the waters of workamping. Additionally, I'm REALLY looking forward to some crisp, cool evenings this Fall.

What's the old adage? - "Be careful what you wish for." I had actually considered joining the CW "M.A.P" (Mobile Associates Program), just not this soon! I was a bit more than envious last May, when several of our crewmembers were "breaking camp", and heading for places like Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, and New Hampshire to work for the summer.

I know some of the computers at work will have internet access, so I may still be able to get on here a bit after hours.

Catch ya'll later,
Al

Good luck to you, Al. I always enjoy reading your posts and seeing your vacation pictures.

This economy has been unkind to many. I hope it gets better soon.

Good luck Al, I know you will make it. The carrier you built for us is now hauling a Wilderness Tarpon 120 Kayak, instead of the canoe, which we sold. We'll be back in the area in Oct, and will be going to KW, so may get to see you as we go through FM.

Bob,

I was just wondering how the canoe dolly worked out for you. I've only had to use mine a couple of times, but really saves time and effort when I do. I'm guessing in Oct I'll still be in Tallahassee, so stop by on your way and say Hi.

Later.

Well, I got here last Saturday after an uneventful trip from Ft Myers. I'm all set up in the CW parking lot, with a gorgeous view of the dumpster on one side and the back of the shop on the other. Sweeeeeet!

Work is good, and a couple of forum members have even stopped in and said "Hi".

Later,
Al
