Anyone been to the new Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach yet? We'll be down there the end of the month and we're thinking about checking it out. Was it worth it? Any suggestions for discount tickets? When is the best time to go?

We'll be at the Hard Rock Park in August. I know that doesn't help you right now but you can go to YouTube and they have videos of some of the coasters there. Also, if you go to www.screamscape.com you can link into the web page there for Hard Rock Park and they have other videos and pictures of the place. As an amusement park freak, I can tell you that, IMHO, it is worth checking out. As for discount tickets, I haven't found any yet and I've been seriously looking! However, I'm registered on www.hardrockpark.com and I have gotten discount offers but not for the time frame that we're going to be there. Also, when you get down there, local businesses like supermarkets may be offering discount tickets or the campground that you're staying in might have them. Good luck and have fun! If you go, post a report here!

We did a tour there last fall, while it was still under construction. Oldest DS, who is an avid fan of all things related to amusement parks/roller coasters, has been following news of it closely. His opinion is that it's not worth the admission price. So we have no plans to go there ever, even though we go to MB several times a year.

$50 is steep for me ,and if you take a family especially.
I did hear where SC residents can get tickets for $39 if you should know someone who lives there. Unless you have to have identification as to residence.
Not sure about that

We were just visiting my bil in SC and he takes his grand kids there and just loves the place. He says if you go during the week the crowds are very lite!
