A little more info is needed. What year, what happened, etc. There is a history of broken windshields with certain models and years. The factory was at one time repairing the problem and replacing windshields.

It would help to know your coach year, make and model. While I was at the Harrisburg Monaco Service Center not long ago to have some warranty work completed, I showed the service writer a crack in the upper right corner of the windshield. This had occurred on the way to the service center in the Portland area on one the super smooth hiways there. He stated Monaco had just completed designs for a windshield area modification called a Halo Kit. This involves removing the front TV and cabinets and part of the ceiling then welding in additional supports that form a halo above the windshield and back into the ceiling area. There were also side supports added to resist the twisting action of the coach front. I was told this procedure takes three days and Monaco will put you up in a motel while the work is completed. They couldn't do mine as the Olympic Trials were going on in Eugene so there wasn't a motel room to be found. I have an appointment to have this done the first of October when I head south. I wasn't totally clear on the coaches involved but was lead to believe it was the 2007 and 2008 Camelots and the 2007 and 2008 Holiday Ramblers Septors, but there could be more. If you are having windshield problems it might behoove you to contact Monaco to see if they can address your problem with this procedure. Again it would help to know what we are dealing with.

Duncan Glass.. I got a quote from a local glass companies $600 labor and mateials no deductable. My insurance company points me to Duncan glass. Now the bill from Duncan Glass is for $1,300. My deductable is $500 which I end up shelling out to Duncan Glass. We know its worth $600 because I got the quote. My guess is Duncan Glass inflates the cost, collects the deductable and calls it even steven to the insurance company and the insurance company pays out nothing. Heres another scenario. If DG's bill is really $1,300 I pay $500 and the insurance Co pays $800 they paid out $200 more than if they just paid the local guy his entire bill. Something just dont add up...
