Well, I'm off to my hometown fair tomorrow nite. Will be a rather short 70 mile tow, and then looking forward to a relaxing weekend with 2 of my boys, and my cousin's boy along. This is a guys weekend out, as small town fair, ball games, and a museum day with antique tractors isn't DW's idea of a great weekend outing.. She's planning to enjoy a weekend of peace and quiet with the house all to herself while I work out the kinks with the trailer....

My parents plan to drop down on friday, and spend one nite with us as well.

I packed away the last of the loose stuff in the trailer tonite and pulled in the slides in prep for hitching up tomorrow to head out.

Put the new bug deflector on "Dooley" as the kids have now named my f350 crew drw, and we are still mulling over whether the Carriage C-Force is gonna be known as the "Dog Haus", or the Carriage "Caboose" ...

Darn thing is heavy enough to be part of a train ..

We'll be in a little regional park just across the tracks from the town's main street, so a quick walk will get me to the store for anything I've managed to forget.

Enjoyed a beer from my externally accessd storage compartment can cooler tonite, and it seems to keep them about the right chill while only running at about 1/3 of it's max setting. Good to know it may be able to quickly chill down some warm ones when the time for a refill comes along ...

All of the little items are safely stowed, and DW had a lot of fun outfitting the unit with dishes, pots and pans, silverware, and heck even new bedding ... You know your an rv'er when your standard of living improves as soon as you step in the trailer.

The stock sony POS cd player in the garage had a dead cd drive, so I found a used JVC unit for 120.00 that has a 3" LCD on the face and it even plays DVD's. YES, I can enjoy my favourite concert dvd's while sitting outside enjoying the weather...

I went a little creative on the video and sound system in the main unit. Picked up a new 26" lcd tv at best buy for 379 (insignia house brand 1366 by 768 unit), and while checking prices at Future shop, found the logitech 5.1 zx4 computer speaker set on sale for 69.00. All that was required was my old panasonic dvd player with built in DD and DTS decoder and a bit of creative wiring, and I can listen to movies in full 5.1 surround sound while watching on the new set.

Attached the speakers to the shelf above the TV with some velcro, and they should ride fine. I also use velcro to hold the woofer module in the cubby behind the tv, so it's all nicely out of sight. Was able to re-use the 2 sony speakers mounted above the couch as surrounds by adding a rca plug onto them so they would plug into the logitech bass module. So for sound and video we're ready to party.

Picked up a great grill for 199 at home depot. I can't seem to find it on the net, but it's a 4 burner propane unit that folds down to about 10" high. It has 2 wheels for ease of movement, and the cover actually folds out to make two side shelves when your grillin. Will post a pic and link when I can find it.

Dog Show Roady...

And yep, I'm taking a couple of our puppies out for a weekend of socializin and leash trainin... lol.

You might be a dog show roady if Y'all have to buy a 40 ft toy hauler just so the dogs can have a private room (Garage)

Sounds like a great plan. With dogs instead of toys you should not be overloaded. You do transport the dogs in the truck, right? I don't care for the idea of pets in the trailer going down the road.
