Well, the take your EU3000i along and plug the trailer in to see if it works, pretty simple, eh?

If the new one on order is the generator then I would suggest twin 2000's. They work great on our unit with 15,000 BTU AC.

3000 watts equals 25 amps at 120 volts so you should be fine. Your 15k btu should draw about 15 amps.

The only way you can be sure the eu3000i will start your air conditioner is to try it. The best anybody can say is that the odds are with you, probably over 90% that it will work. If you looked at all of the archived posts I think you'd find that most who tried a 15k air conditioner with an eu3000i were successful but there have been a few cases where it didn't work out.

Our EU3000 will start and run our 15K A/C with no issues. We keep the Fridge and Water Heater on Gas and run other things as well.

I have a question, I am curious how long do you run the generator for?
Like do you only run to cool down at night say, or all day?
Up here some provincial sites and maybe some private sites restrict the use of generators.
curious, as I bought a 1800w 1600 peak generator for ocassional use, but now that wife wants to buy a bigger fifth wheel, more than likely it will have A/C and I will need a bigger generator, and we generally only camp at provincial or national parks.

We camp without hookups a few times a year. If we need A/C, then it runs 24/7 and have run it for up to 4 days straight. During the cooler months, we run it as needed.
