I have this Master Flow MF-1050 Tsunami High Volume Portable Air Compressor. Does a great job when on the road. I have a larger 120 volt AC unit for home.

Here is the one I use. The $139.00 one. Some times you can find it on sale for $99, however the last time I saw it on sale it was $119.

If you don't need intend to carry a compressor on board, get a 2 hp 110 volt AC one that can easily top off 80lb PSI tires, plus operate most air tools. There are a lot of cheap "tire inflator" devices that will just barely do the job on 80psi rear duals. I have a Campbell Hausefeld 2 gallon tank model that is very marginal, needs to slowly build up 100lbs of pressure to top off 80 PSI rear duals. There are also some serious $400 12volt compressors that are recommended by "off roaders"

Aren't you filling up your tires before you leave? Do they lose that much pressure "on the road" that you really need a compressor? That being said, I carry a little pancake compressor from HFreight; the cheapest one they had; I have used it ONCE for the tires... it has enough volume to get the job done eventually but not enough to spin off torqued lug nuts or reinstall to proper torque. It was the same price as a 12vt compressor, but it works 100% better in my opinion. If you want to increase volume signifigantly; replace your front or rear bumper with 3/16" thick by 6" round steel tubing with domed end caps welded on, hook your compressor to that... gives you about 20 gallons of volume at 140psi. Filled up, its enough to air up 1 tire from 0 to 80psi without hooking up the compressor. If I have a leak I just care about putting enough in to "get me to help" where I get the tire fixed.

That made me think. I have never used my compressor for RV tires but I have used it several times for bike tires, blowing up beach and lake toys, toad tires, Kar dolly tires, jet ski and boat trailer tires... of course I may camp different than most as we seek the beach or the lake in most of our adventures.

We take along this model Husky compressor. Easily fills the rear tires to 80 PSI. I paid $79 at Lowes a couple of years ago.

I have one of those pancake style contractor compressors that I bought a few years ago at home depot. Runs on 110v and will air up the 100#, 22.5" tires on my SuperNova. It is also great for a lot of other uses around the house. It is small enough that I could store it in one of the basement compartments and plug in to the entertainment center outlet to use on the road.
