In this part of the country it appears Mobil 1 synthetic for diesels has gone off the market. Use to be you could buy it at any Wal*Mart or AutoZone. Now it is no where to be found. I have even search other stores to no avail.

Anyone have any information on this, or at least where it can be purchased?

If you have to ask why I drive a Diesel, then you will never understand.

Don't know for sure if they stopped producing it. I suspect they did not have a formulation meeting the new CJ4 specs for diesel motor oil. At least not yet.

Go to
http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/Moto........ls/Mobil_1_Turbo_Diesel_Truck_5W-40.aspx
and click on "find product" to locate a source in your area. Around here, it listed Advance Auto Parts but no Walmart.

Just for kicks between coffee sips, I looked up Wilmington Delaware as we've been there a few times. Came back with Advance Auto Parts as well.

Thanks to all for the info. It appears that I was thinking Advance Auto and I went to AutoZone instead.

I will check out one of the local Advance Auto stores. I still wonder why Wal*Mart quit carrying it. They have all of the other Mobil 1 products plus just about every brand of diesel oil that is out there.

Don't ever go to Autozone for anything.

I purchased the old Mobil 1 Truck & SUV 5w-40 in 5qt jugs a few years ago at Walmart and still have some left because I sold my 6.0 PSD that took 15qts and my 8.1 takes only about 6qts. Mobil replaced it with Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40.

We've been using Mobil Delvac 1 15 W40 in farm equipment as well as 6.0 Ford diesels. The distributor told me the name has changed. If I remember correctly he said it had changed to Mobil 1, heavy disel oil I saw some on the shelf at a parts house the other day. I have Delvac left over, so haven't been looking for the new name. I think its pretty much the same oil just new name.

Walmart has dropped several of the synthetic oils. I also notice that they no longer carry Rotella-T 5W40 synthetic, which I use in both my RV and toad. I guess if it's not made in China, they won't carry it.
