I tried to book Beavers bend in oklah- Heard it wes real pretty-Unfortunately itd booked. Any other places in South oklahoma thats nice , besides Texoma & Lake Murray- been there.

Check around the white river in ark, great places especially in Oct-Nov. And from Carrollton, it is about the same distance.

The Okies started taking reservations about a year ago. They only reserve a one section all others are open to 1st arrivals.

Beavers Bend always gets booked real early. It is not in the southern part of the state but we like to spend a few days at Lake Tenkiller in October. It is just 13 miles north of I-40 at the Gore exit (mile marker 287).

I like K river campground at Moyers on the Kiamiche river large open area and good fishing and cannoeing as well as pretty in the fall

We stayed at Granite Pointe for five days.....originally planned on two. Big rig access, large sites, full hook-ups, brand new, very nice view of the lake and Mt. Scott. Check rvparkreviews.com for more info.
