We will be visiting a friend near New Hudson, MI. There are two parks that I found. One is Hass Lake Park that has average reviews and the other is Green Valley Park that I cannot find a review for. Can any of you make a recommendation?

Thanks

Howdy,
I live in the area but have never thought of camping here. This is a link to our state parks and if you look in Oakland county you will find Proud Lake rec area. this is a popular area and there are several others as you get away from the city.

Also in Milford there is Camp Dearborn which also is very popular with 3 gold courses and several other things to do. I really no little about their camping other than to say they do have sites but it might be a thought.

Don't forget to go to Greenfield village and the Henry Ford museum while you are here and if you get a chance to go downtown Detroit the riverfront and the ren center are also nice to see not to mention the casinos or the many fabulous restaurants.
Good luck,
tomman

Since writing this glorious review, things have changed at Haas Lake Campground. There are new owners who are the "Camp Nazis". Into everyones business. As much as I loved it before, I would not stay there if it was the only place available. PM me for more details.

If you have pets you may not want to go to Camp Dearborn. It is a very nice campground with lots of activities but they do not allow pets.
