I found out last year that those GPS toys can sure get you in a lot of trouble. I intend to look at the map much better after the near disaster we had last year.
The Rv is at the dealer's getting a good going over since the warranty runs out later this month. After that, I'm on my own. I too found that we relied too much on the GPS. But it sure came in handy on other occasions. Just couldn't figure out why it couldn't find the entrance to the park.
Wait til you get the bill for that going over! Just joking I hope.

Luckily everything except the awning is covered under warranty. The ins co. is picking up the tab for the awning work...minus my deductable. At least I'm giving the service dept some business!!!

What happened? I left the room could you please retell your story
What makes a great trip two things.
1) the day you leave home
2) the day you return home
things in between are what memories are made of.

After reading your story, it made our problems seem small. We started our cross country trip on July 30th. The day before we left our new Winegard SK-3005 wouldn't stow. My husband did a manual stow and off we went to Pigeon Forge. I made an appointment to have a Tech come to the campground. On the way there, the warning light for our front jack came on and dinged all the way to Tn. This is the same jack we have replaced and just replaced the solenoid again in Mar. The Tech. comes to the CG, talks to Winegard who isn't sending replacement parts, they shipped another unit (to the wrong Address). The new dish comes, the tech. installs it, installs another solenoid and off we go. We were only delayed a couple of days (which felt like an eternity)but now we are sitting next to the Arkansas river. I hope we don't have as many entertaining incidents as you do. Glad you made it back home and shared your story.

What, no flat tires? We just got back from being on the road since May. Two flats on the truck and two tread failures on the TT.

You know, the funny thing is I was prepared for the major stuff like tires, etc. That actually was my biggest concern so I purchased Good Sam ERS and have AAA. Plus, the MH comes with Ford roadside assist. One portion of the trip I drove (on and off with stops) for 26hrs and was worried about a tire going

What an interesting and funny, after the fact, story. I'm sure it was't so funny at the time or should I say times.
Your story makes me very glad that I purchased just a small travel trailer that doesn't have all the things that could break or malfunction that you did. Since I travel alone and don't know how to fix anything, except change a tire, I would probably be crying a lot and saying why me Lord?
Thanks for sharing your story. I hope you got everything ironed out so your next trip is nothing but relaxing and lots of fun!

WOW-many days like that and I would take the MH back to the dealer for a refund. We have been on the road for 4 months and pulled the TT just over 5k mikes with no serious problems. Knock on wood. So far just found a fuse installed wrong that caused some funny electrical problems along with some minor plumbing and shower leaks. There are a couple of RV parks we will not return to. And yes the GPS is sometimes a problem. The Garmin is a lot better than the built in one in the truck.
DW just turned the vent hood fan on and it is grinding-sure hope this is not a sign of things to come.
Glad you made it home OK
