I have seen some great posts here regarding the window fogging problems with Se-Gl window, however not much is showing up on the search.
Here is the problem: My neighbor just purchased a "brand new" 2007 National Sea Breeze LX. The dealer sold it to him "as is" so "no help there", he's tried. The passenger front window has the dreaded Se-Gl fogging problem, right in line with the side mirror.
Question: Has anybody had any success dealing direct with Se-Gl on a window replacement? If so, who did you contact and do you have a phone number? We all know that National RV is history so contacting them is also, "no help there".
Any help is greatly appreciated.
UPDATE Aug. 8 2008 UPDATE UPDATE
Thank ALL of you that have dealt with Se-Gl and all of your input.
LVJ58 was right on with his information, Se-Gl has been very responsive to my neighbor, Al. A call to Se-Gl with a window manufactured in 06, installed in a National RV built in 07, sold in 8/08 was met with "no problem". Al was faxed a window replacement sheet and is now waiting to receive his window from Se-Gl.
It seems that dealers that have said the windows are only covered for one year are not telling the entire truth. It looks like a few dealers do not want to get involved once the manufactures factory warranty is up. It pay to go direct to the component manufacture and not rely on what the selling dealer tells you.
Again, thank you all for your help,
Chuck

My experience has been that SE-GI will not step up to the plate. I have a Safari which has the SE-GI windows. Every year you see more fogging problems in the windows. Wish you luck. Your friend Houston

Se-Gi will not deal with an indvidual owner. You will have to go to a rv repair place and have them order you a window. If the window is under 1 year old, then it should be covered under the Se-Gi warranty. There is a date code etched in a corner of the window.

The following information was posted on 04/04/08 in the class A motorhome forum:
Posted by Moisheh,
SE-GI is in California, tel # 951 737-8320.
I have SE-GI windows and they are fogged. Went back to the dealer and they called Fleetwood. Fleetwood said SE-GI has a 2 year warrenty.Of course I am out of warrenty so I will buy them.

SE-GI would not deal with me directly but they have a three year warranty that SHOULD be honored by any RV dealer. I took my Fleetwood to Camping World (who didn't sell me my RV) and they dealt with SEGI directly and ordered a new window. It took about a month to get the window in.

SE-GI is a horrable product. Just remember this. If you buy a MH with SE-GI windows it's not if, but when you will have to spend thousands to replace them.

Why would your friend purchase a new rig with a "as is" stipulation? Was the rig titled before he purchased it? If it was titled regardless of miles, etc. then he have purchased a use rig. I do wish your friend the best in getting his window problem resolved. Since following a thread regarding this window manu. his probelm could escalate into a safty issue.

Deen,
Thank you for explaining this.
I think if you would have received the deal he did "as is" WELL below NADA for a "brand new" coach, never titled, 3,000 delivery miles from CA. You would put up with a few supplier warranties to deal with. Not everybody pays full retail then runs to the dealer with every single little problem. I have heard that Se-Gl was hard to deal with and was looking for answers to help him. He is one of the good guys in RV'ing,
I really appreciate all of the great feedback so far.
