Yes! And we have also found the reverse to be true--modest-looking pictures on the web site but really nice park. Go figure!

I would add..plenty of gravel in the site...I hate it when you drag in lots of dirt into your camper each time you come in the door. One of the CG's we frequent (only because the site we have is HUGE !!)is like that and DW wonders why I stay outside so much...

I travel alone, so someone that can help me back in is important, along with a level site.

Lets add, Oceanfront, when hot, and mountain top when cool nights and mornings are wanted.
A nice mountain river running beside the CG, A lake, No Generators. Quiet. Very quiet. No lights poles in the CG. Dark at night, so you can see the stars.

Family oriented, no loud partys, no drunks. Prefer dirt, or sand roads. Large sites. Covered picnic tables. FIRE RING is a must.

Not wild about gravel. Hard on your barefeet. But if it is there. It is OK.

1. Wide enough CG interior roads - NO obstacle course

2. Level or close to level and easy to park in RV pad area with grass and trees - NO mucky dirt or exposed clay

3. Clean well maintained showers you can fit into and also dress in and a very clean stocked restroom area

4. Large sites with room between the neighbors and room to park a vehicle etc off the roadway

5. Reasonable and fair price that matches the CG and it's amenities

6. Allow non-barking under control picked up after leashed pets and has a designated pet walk area

7. Decent maintained tables and fire ring

8. 30 amp electric is adequate as the only hookup if there's a decent dump station and water supply nearby. That's why you have an RV and not a tent! Electric box should be close to the RV pad - not 50 feet away

9. CG water must be clear, clean, and tasteless

10. Playground and/or pool has to be away from the RV campsites. Screaming kids gets very old real quick!

11. Clean and safe neighborhood and surrounding local area with active CG security. CG Drunks and excessive behavior controlled

12. A variety of fun/enjoyable things or activities to do and/or see reasonably close to the CG location

13. Reasonable and ENFORCED CG rules that apply to everyone staying there

14. Strictly enforced generator/loud equipment use hours and mandated quiet time enforced

15. Well maintained CG/utilities and pleasant desireable CG appearance

16. Good ground drainage with no long standing water/puddles

17. Pleasant, reasonable, and well trained CG employees/management

travelnut--Now that what I call a list. I love it. I will bet many of the things you listed user don't think about. Wow!! {Ah you have a Chevy, and a Lance and a 5th wheel. I will be picking up our 5th wheel in about 28 day and 12 hours and 13 minutes and 4 seconds. I can't wait. My better 1/2 wanted it. I still personally like the truck camper. So easy to get in and out.}

I believe I camped at this CG last Friday 8-1-08, very disapointing...we found it online and the pictures made it look nice...might of been nice 10 years ago...we only stayed one night and that was enough.
