Hi

This year is an unusual one for us,
No spring shake down trip, No Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach, SC, No trip to the Maine Coast. No N.E.RV.Net Mid Summer Rally

We did do our N.E.RV.Net Spring Rally, Father's Day WE and Memorial Day trips and have reservations for Labor Day, Mid Sept Beach rally with NAFCA and the N.E.RV. Net Fall Rally.

The reason for such a drastic change for us was due to a SEVEN WEEK CROSS COUNTRY TRIP!

9967 miles from Central Massachusetts to Taos, NM, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Diego, LA, Malibu, Pismo Beach, CA. Central Valley, San Simeon, Monteray, San Francisco, Sonoma, Reno NV, Salt lake City, UT, Jackson Hole, and the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Coady, WY. Sturgis, SD, Mt Rushmore, Crazy horse, Cedar Point, OH and back home.

I'm glad we did the trip and I'm trying to get a few more trips in this fall to the places we enjoy so much here in New England.

I'm jealous! We did a similar trip last summer and it was the trip of a lifetime. I thought my DD14 would never get back in the car but she did, and even has invited her friends to go camping with us.

This summer we kept it closer to home...well, not real close to home. I flew to WA to visit my sister (half of TomNLauraWA) and we took her TT all over the Olympic penisula for 10 days. Came home and took the whole family to Topsail Hill SP for a week. We went to a family reunion over July 4 up in Lake Junaluska,NC, and DH & I took a couples trip to NYC for a long weekend.

We haven't camped too much, but the season is long here in GA. We'll be in the North Georgia mountains for Labor Day weekend, then down to the Okefenokee at Thanksgiving. The only thing getting in the way of camping more often is High School Only 3 more years til DD15 graduates~!

I thought I would share some our camp-out photos from this summer with all of you. We have been camping in this area several times for weekenders,in the Red Feather Lakes, CO area this summer. On two camp-outs I took quite a few photos of our weekend-camping. We boon-dock in this area....far away from the crowds in the tall Pine Tree forest.

Below is our camp-out we took with some friends of ours:

And then one the DH and I took alone:

We really enjoy camping in this area and try to go as often as possible throughout the summer. Hope you enjoy the photos.

HAPPY CAMPING!!

Our camping summer has be ON HOLD.

We went camping once and than sold the Camper. Searched forever to find something new. Well in fact we are looking for the last 2 years but this time we got serious about it. 2 weeks ago we finally but the down payment towards a used motor home. In 2 weeks is pick up and than our season will start. FALL CAMPING CAN BE VERY NICE (i hope)

My family and I have had a great summer this year. We took my new granddaughter on her first campout(at4 months old) and had a large family campout with my inlaws. The weather was rainy and dismal for the first part of the summer but it has been better as of late. Three weeks ago DW and I took my brother and hisDW camping in our camper. My bro had not been camping in years and his wife had never been. We all had a great time. On wednesday of the following week he called me from the rv dealer, yes, they had bought a camper. Last weekend we went camping with them again, this was his maiden voyage. It did rain some of Saturday but we all had a blast just the same. We have done about 7 weekends so far this year at local SP and hope to get a few more in before the end of camping season. WHERE DID THE SUMMER GO??????

We had a pretty good summer. As soon as school was out for the summer we took a week-long trip to the Keys (John Pennekamp). We've also taken several weekend trips to Fort DeSoto. Our next trip will probably be Little Manatee River State Park in October - we haven't been there before.
