Dont know if anyone remembers, and since old posts are gone ...

I originally purchased Dicount Tire MB Shaker wheels but learned weight rating were a little less than stock forged Al wheels on my Dodge. So was kinda on the wight police band wagon with getting one of the smaller 5th wheels to try and stay under ratings and as part of this went through the hassle with Discount to have them buy them back, get Weld Forged Al Velocitti8 at $700 each, and of coarse all the expense and hassle to get them swapped out. Anyways, last weekend found one of my front wheels had two spokes completely cracked through !!! Know it happened on my last trip as I checked all tires for air before I left and found the crack after I unhitched aired down to 45psi, drove about 10 miles on good forest roads, didnt hit anything, and when went to air back up noticed the cracked wheel ... whew that was close and could have been real ugly. Definetly manufacture discount. What happened to these forged Al being the real deal ... I know ... it's because I bought them and thats just my luck LOL. Anyways, just venting ... Weld out of business and bankrupt ... American Racing not upholding my lifetime warranty on them after buyout, and my wheel offset no longer available nor can be found anywhere ... new set of MB shakers arrived today LOL, so I have gone full circle back to where I started. Only message I am sending really is check your wheels too ... could happen on any wheels !!!

Most of these wheels are made in China.

Stick with OEM wheels and you won't have any problems.

Hey! I like those rims! But that's because I have the same ones . I also feel your pain though not to the same degree. My chrome is flaking on the inside surface of the rim ( the road de-icer they use in the winter around here I suppose) and yes, with Weld doing the BK thing, I am SOL too.

WELD is (was) made in America for all the nay-sayers. Rated to 3400 lbs per wheel.

My Visions don't have the bling. They're rated to 4500lbs.

Very common problem with weld wheels anymore. My father in law owns a tire store, and he wont even sell Weld wheels anymore. They crack, and peel, and Weld wont stand behind them. And Lets not forget the PRICE!!
