Hi Everyone,
Just decided it was finally time to purchase our first toy hauler 5th wheel.
Can't find many to physically see. So far I am looking at a Montana Mountaineer 347tht.
Is anyone familiar with this model? Prices are all overthe map according to the dealers I've called. I was hoping to find a used one but cannot locate any. Does anyone have a suggestion where on the web besides Craigs list and Ebay I would go to find a used one?
Thank you for any insite. My husband wants to do this now and buy new but I thought we should look a little further before jumping the gun!

Hi Hot Flash,
Don't get in to big of hurry on your first one. Look around and take your time making a decision. It could be a costly one. Be sure you check out the Heartland Toy haulers. I think you will be really surprised at the quality and factory support you will have. Also come on over and check out the Heartland Owners Forum. Lots of information and help when needed.

We looked at pretty much all the different types before purchasing like jimtoo stated above. You will find different levels of quality as well as warranty lengths. After 6 months of looking, driving, and deciding what we really would like we settled on the KZ. Great unit with a great warranty dept. Good luck and happy shopping.

That Mountaineer is more of a traditional 5er with a small (narrow and steep) rear ramp into a small cargo area. I assume you have checked to see if what you want to haul will fit or be able to get up the ramp?
Good luck

I dont think you can compare ANY toy hauler out there with the Moutaineer... maybe the Cougar but thats about it. The 347THT is the only hauler that has a finished hauler room and doesnt completely kill usable space.
