Thought I would start a new fun thread......
Last night, while preparing dinner at a state park, I went to my pantry to pull out some foil.
There was an odd shaped whitish "thing" that I couldn't identify. My first thought was that it was a chewed up rawhide - couldn't figure out why I would have put a chewed rawhide for the dogs in with my dry goods. Just then I touched it, and it was wet alright....it was a PETRIFED BANANA!!!!
How long had it been in there you ask? For at least 2 weeks, since our last trip out! YIKES! Good news is we don't have mice, or ants!
It scooped out rather nicely - all in one peice.
Any others care to share?

Returned home two weeks ago and emptied out my refrigerator and I thought my freezer too. That's what I get for thinking. I had a full flat of chicken wings (about 20 large wings). Went to take the chicken wings out of my home freezer to make dinner and couldn't find them. A sudden feeling of horror rushed over me as I thought about the chicken wings that were sitting in my TH freezer at the storage yard 5 miles away. Mind you the temperatures around here were hanging around the lower to upper 90's since we returned home. Needless to say, when I got to the trailer I noticed scores of flies trying to enter my trailer through the open, but thankfully screened, small window opening near the roof of my trailer. When I opened the freezer door, the stench was nearly unbearable. The plastic wrapping over the chicken was bulging and looked ready to burst. Now I am working at getting that horrible odor out of my freezer. This was a mistake I plan never to make again. (So gross )

I want to leave this earth quietly in my sleep like my grandfather and not like the hysterical, screaming passengers riding in granddad's RV just before the big crash.

Left some chicken breasts in an igloo cooler for a week - had to throw the cooler away - could not get rid of the odor. Live and Learn - or Live and Forget, whichever comes first!

I left some hamburgers in our MH oven for several days - had turned the oven off, but forgot the burgers were in there (put them in there to keep warm in case anyone wanted more, but no one had). Ewwwww....Pretty bad.

Sure did. Wife found a ziplock in the cabinet of our tt that should have been put in the fridge. It was hard to ID but even though she is still not sure what it was she is absolutely positive that I'm the one that put it there

The microwave is a great place to store your cooked hash browns while you cook the rest of the breakfast on the small cooktop, unless you forget you made them that is till 2 days later. No problem they were sealed in the container, but inedible

Campnfuls - I did the same thing with chicken except the flies had gotten into the unit. The stench is unbelievable. I used Lysol, Orange Cleaner, Bleach. Probably washed out the fridge and freezer 6 times, trying different cleaners. Nothing worked. Try the charcoal filters that hang in the fridge and freezer. They do work.

Four years ago I drove off from a rest stop without my wife in the rig.
I'm still trying to remember which rest stop it was so I can go back and get her.

Several years ago I went into our TT to begin packing and smelled something. When I opened the pantry door it was really bad with fruit flies by the dozen making themselves at home.
I had left a bag with some potatoes in it on a shelf.
Now they go in the refrigerator where I empty everything.
